Costa Rica to Host CICOMEX Trade Show

Organized by the Mexico - Costa Rica Commerce Chamber, the trade show will be held between September 15 and 17.

64 Costa Rican and Mexican exhibitors will participate by promoting their products and services, looking for new commercial partners. The fair will take place in Plaza Feria Alajuela.

From El Financiero's website: "Event organizers have made a big effort not only to bring home new commerce relationships between Mexico and Costa Rica, but also its folklore, gastronomy, craftsmanship and tequila".

Expocomer: $130 million Foreseen in Business Projects

The organizers estimate that commercial transactions made between participants will amount to around $130 million, and the economic benefit for Panama could be $45 million.

"... 'We have an excellent Expo, with very good expectations. We will have to wait for the numbers at the end of the event, but we hope that the economic spillover for the country will be at least equal to last year's, that is to say, worth about $45 million. Business transactions between participants should be in the order of $130 million," Inocencio Galindo, president of the Chamber of Commerce and Industries of Panama (CCIAP), told La Estrella de Panamá."

Panama Launches Expocomer 2014

The Chamber of Commerce, Industries and Agriculture in Panama has presented its pinnacle event, the XXXII version of Expocomer, which will be held from 26th to 29th of March, 2014 at the ATLAPA Convention Center.

Panama to Participate in 21 Fairs in 2012

The country will participate in 21 international fairs specializing in agricultural products, logistics, food, handicrafts and more.

As of October 2011 the value of contracts signed at fairs amounted to $660 million, $34 million more than in the same period in 2010.

Irma Vanessa Chong, general manager of Commercial Missions of the Ministry of Commerce and Industry (MITI), noted that new destinations have been identified for Panamanian exports (the Nordic countries, Russia, Japan).

Taiwanese Companies to Exhibit in Nicaragua

The embassy of China will organize a trade fair in late July.

Over twenty companies from Taiwan will participate in the “Republic of China Taiwan Centennial Fair”, where they will showcase their products and share their successful experiences in international trade.

The fair will also involve Nicaraguan organizations, such as investment promotion agency ProNicaragua, and other entities linked to the export sector and trade with Asia.
