Changes in imports  
Between 2015 and 2016, the value of imported radios and similar devices in Costa Rica increased from $26 million to $37 million. 

The value imported from the US grew from $9 million in 2015 to $11 million in 2016.

Origin of imports 
In 2016, 40% of the value imported came from Hong Kong, 30% from the USA, 12% from China, 6% from Japan and 3% from Sweden.

The USA is the market of origin of imports that has fallen the most in the last 5 years. In 2012 it represented 50% of the total value imported, but last year the figure fell to 30%.
