Costa Rica: New Investment in BPO

The multinational company Feuji technology services has announced that it will be setting up a customer service and support center in Heredia.

From a statement issued by the CINDE:

San José, July 27, 2017. The service company Feuji, which specializes in providing technology solutions and services in the cloud, has officially announced its arrival in Costa Rica and the hiring of 150 more people for the remainder of 2017.

The company will be located in Ultra Park 1 in Heredia.  To date it has already hired 70 people, to which will be added 150 new positions and it is expected that a significant amount will also be added over the next three years, during which time up to 500 employees may be required to meet operational demand.

Feuji is a global technology and cloud services company with operations across multiple geographic areas.  The company believes in providing measurable solutions that will positively impact its business as well as the profitability of our customers.  The target areas of the company focus on consulting for the sales force, consulting, supply chain, outsourcing services, service management and strategic personnel.  Feuji´s headquarters are located in Dallas, Texas and it has operations in Bulgaria, India and now Costa Rica.

The service outsourcing industry in the country generated a yearly revenue of $6 million in 2008, and nine years later, the industry's revenue is close to $150 million.

Currently 45 companies operating under the free zone regime are engaged in outsourcing services in the country. This figure far exceeds that of 2007, when there were 12 companies in this sector. The incentives provided by the free zone scheme, coupled with the low labor cost demanded by these types of service centers, explain much of the growth that this market has experienced in the country.

The company Equifax has announced the opening of a new shared services center to serve its operations in Latin America, Europe and North America.

The new 4,400 square meter building is located in the Metro free zone, in Barreal de Heredia where Equifax has been established since 1995.

Results Company has invested $2.5 million in a new customer service center in a free zone in Heredia.

The new contact center belonging to the U.S. company, which will be its second in Latin America, will provide call center services to customers from other firms.

The company, which is dedicated to Business process outsourcing (BPO), has plans to start operating at the end of 2008, and to hire 500 people.

The service center, which will provide customer care, sales and technical support in both Spanish and English, will be installed in Managua and should open during the fourth quarter of 2008.
