Costa Rica Invests $20 million in Recreation Center

An announcement has been made of the construction of a sports club, social and special events centre in an area measuring 22,600 square meters west of the capital, in the county of Santa Ana.

Construction is expected to start in December and operations will begin in September 2015, with the initial opening of tennis courts, a soccer field, semi-Olympic swimming pool, cafeteria and parking areas.

Achilles Viso, majority owner of the project Campo Lago Country, told Elfinancierocr.com that "... We will continue with the construction of other areas without affecting the comfort of the people who are already enjoying the first stage of operations and construction will be completed sometime around 2017."

'... The businessman said that he, along with more than five partners behind the project, studied the market well, believing that rather than being competition, this club will be a complement to this segment. "

$43 Million for Guatemalan Amusement Park

The Recreation Institute of the Workers of Guatemala (Irtra) will invest in its Petapa recreation center.

Works include a three story parking lot for 1.000 vehicles and new rides, and should be ready by July.

Irtra’s General Manager, Manuel Valdez, commented that “the park should be able to host 12.000 people after this expansion, 20% more than now.
