Costa Rica: Industrial Park in San Carlos

A group of local businessmen have announced the start of construction of the first stage of an industrial park in 18 hectares of land in San Carlos, Alajuela.

They indicate that Parque Muelle will offer the possibility of operating under the free zone regime and they are aiming to attract companies from the sectors of agribusiness, technology and logistics, explained Victor Perera, founding partner of the project to Perera said the project will require an investment of $400 million and will be developed in stages over six years, starting now with the construction of roads leading to the internal part of the property and installation of electrical infrastructure, telecommunications and a water supply.

In the first stage ".... the park will have 18 hectares to make room for 20 companies in the agribusiness, technology and logistics sectors. For the following stages another 32 hectares are available. " reports that "... In July they will start with construction of the warehouses, which will be ready to be rented out next year. Between February and November 2017, they will construct 400 parking spaces and an office center for businesses to operate while they carry out studies. The park will include industrial buildings, logistics services, cold and dry storage tanks, green areas, electrical and fiber optic redundant networks, wastewater treatment plant and services for employees (medical, banking, food court and transportation)."

Logistics Center: $150 Million Investment Plan

In a 30-hectare lot located five kilometers from the Container Terminal in Moin, Costa Rica, construction will begin in the first half of 2021, a logistics complex that will focus on the management of local or imported cargo.

New Corporate Center in Costa Rica

The first of the five buildings that will form part of the La Lima Corporate Center was launched in Cartago, which will require a global investment of close to $98 million.

The project in charge of the real estate company Garnier & Garnier, is a complex of offices that is constructed in a plot of eight hectares in the industrial park La Lima, and contemplates the construction of up to five buildings of four floors each one, informed the Costa Rican Coalition of Initiatives of Development (Cinde).

Four developments are in process of obtaining official and environmental permits, and could begin construction in mid-2014 or early 2015. reports: "One will be called Green Park and will be located in San Jose, Alajuela, another will be named Tech Park and will be in the district of Ulloa de Heredia, a third will operate as Life Free Zone & Business Park in El Coyol in Alejuela, and a fourth, called Lindora Park business park, will be located in Pozos de Santa Ana ".
