In 2016 imports of water, air, fuel, oil and lubricant filters in Costa Rica totaled $34 million, 39% more than what was purchased in 2015.

Main importers  
Among the main importers of water, air and fuel filters in Costa Rica are JSM Filters, Producer La Floreida, Purdy Motor, Machinery and International Tractors, International Health Developments and Coca Cola Industries, which together account for approximately 30% of the total value of imports. 

Main brands  
Among the main brands of filters in Costa Rica are Global Water Engineering, Toyota, Luberfiner, Ficit and Nirobox 5000, which collectively account for approximately 20% of the total value of imports. 

Changes in imports  
Between 2015 and 2016 the imported value of water, air and fuel filters in Costa Rica grew from $24 million in 2015 to $34 million in 2016. 

Between 2015 and 2016 the value imported from the USA grew by 37%, going from $12 million to $16 million, and from China they grew 31%, increasing from $3 million to $4 million.
