Brazil, Chile, Panama, Peru, Colombia and Ecuador were also included in the list prepared by the Spanish Ministry of the Interior, according to Crhoy.com.
The ministry report reveals that "...The port most used by drug traffickers ... to transport cocaine is that of Algeciras, in the autonomous community of Andalusia. For example, in the case of Costa Rica, shipments of cocaine hidden in containers of pineapple or cassava have been detected in recent years. In such cases, the sender and the recipient are able to fulfill their objective with the complicity of port or customs authorities."
"...'Security Forces have recently detected a new modus operandi to bring in cocaine known as a 'drop off'.It consists of placing a drug geolocation device that is later sent in packages prepared from legal merchant ships in which the organization colludes with some of the crew."
