Costa Rica: Export of Sheep Leather to China

The union of sheep producers confirmed that the Chinese government has already approved the protocol and the respective certification for imports of sheep leather from Costa Rica.

San José, Costa Rica, November 30, 2017The governments of China and Costa Rica have reached an agreement so that producers of Costa Rican sheep can export leather of these animals to the Asian nation.

During the National Congress of Sheep Producers of Costa Rica 2017, which took place at the Balsa Athens Headquarters of the National Technical University (UTN-Athens), the Director of the National Animal Health Service (SENASA), Bernardo Jaén confirmed that a government delegation from the People's Republic of China visited Costa Rica two weeks ago to finalise the respective negotiation.

Honduras: Credits for Sheep Production

The government has announced a credit line of $7.4 million for the production of sheep, at an interest rate of 7.25%.

The Ministry of Economic Development (SDE) reported that a credit line of L167 million ($7.4 million) is now available for sheep production. The announcement was confirmed by Arnaldo Castillo, head of the institution, reported Laprensa.hn.
