Costa Rica: Private Construction Down 6%June 2018 Due to the performance of residential construction, during the first quarter of the year a decrease of 6% was reported in the total constructed area with respect to the same period in 2017. Nicaragua: Private Construction Down 2.7% in 2016March 2017 The annual reduction of 2.7% in the amount of construction area was mainly due to a drop of nearly 10% in residential construction and 4% in commercial construction. Costa Rica: Construction Figures up to March 2016April 2016 The total square meters of construction registered during the first three months of the year was up 15% compared to the same period in 2015, driven by residential construction. Costa Rica: Construction Numbers in First Half of YearOctober 2014 Between January and July 2014 the total amount of square meters constructed in the country amounted to 1,608,018, just 0.5% more than in the same period in 2013.
