Costa Rica: Center-Left Candidate Moderates Speech

In a speech given to business leaders the presidential candidate Luis Guillermo Solis delivered a message of reassurance about economic development policies.

The presidential candidate for the Citizen Action Party met with a union of private companies in Costa Rica in order to send a message of peace and openness, should he obtain the votes needed in the April 6th election to assume the presidency.

"The issues most frequently bought up by employers, according to Solis, are energy, foreign investment and the Moin port concession.

The Citizen Action Party leader undertook to form teams to attend the various matters of interest to the sector. This was the last activity carried out by the candidate before taking a break.

Juan Ramon Rivera, First Vice President of Uccaep said that the meeting with the candidate brought tranquility to the union members and it is hope there will be a similar meeting in the coming days with the candidate from the National Liberation Party (PLN), Johnny Araya."
