Costa Rica: Business Conference with European Companies

The private sector is preparing for the weekend of July 4th a business meeting with companies from Spain, Argentina and the Persian Gulf.

From a statement issued by the Costa Rican Union of Chambers and Associations of Private Business Sector (UCCAEP):

In search of new markets and foreign investment that translates into job opportunities, the Costa Rican Union of Chambers and Associations of Private Enterprises (UCCAEP) has joined forces with the organization 'Copa Gigantes de America' because European and Asian companies are interested in using the game between Saprissa and Boca Juniors as a vehicle to initiate trade relations with the Costa Rica market.

According to Enrique Garcia, CEO of the Spanish Soccer Institute (SSI), organizer of the meeting, it is a pleasure that football is being seen as more than just a sport, this is a social movement which in the case of our Cup represents the perfect setting to strengthen ties and trade relations with companies from Spain, Argentina and the Persian Gulf.

Multisectoral Business Conference in Honduras

The Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Cortés (CCIC) announced that on November 12 in San Pedro Sula for the third time this year there will be a multisectoral round of business meetings, in which they expect the participation of Honduran companies and other countries from the region.

At the show held in Guatemala, 72 Central American companies took part as well as 24 from Europe and 303 business meetings were held.

The European companies attending were from the textile, crafts and processed food sectors.

"According to the statistics, 303 meetings were held relating to deals such as organic coffee exports to France, Tillandsia (Bromeliad air plants) and aromatic candles.
