Directors of the Costa Rican Union of Chambers and Associations of the Private Business Sector (UCCAEP), made up of 47 chambers, believe that the differences in this type of organizations are to be expected, but the goal is to join efforts.

From the UCCAEP statement:

October 24, 2019. The Costa Rican Union of Chambers and Associations of Private Business Sector (UCCAEP), regrets the departure of the Chamber of Commerce and the Chamber of Industries and we hope they reconsider the position, as we recognize the value of both organizations.

That is why today the Board of Directors, in a press conference appealed to the union, in order to maintain and strengthen the sector. The prosecutor of UCCAEP, Miguel Schyfter reiterated that the Union of Chambers works for all, with the aim of generating welfare and confidence for the country.

"Falling is allowed, but rising is obligatory, as businessmen we have the capacity and the necessary internal instruments to reach agreements based on institutionality and dialogue," said prosecutor Schyfter.

He added that in an institution like UCCAEP, with 47 chambers, the differences are to be expected, but as its name suggests, it is there to unite.
