Costa Rica Announces Purchase of Road Machinery

The Ministry of Transportation has announced it will allocate about $7.3 million for the purchase of vans, and trucks for roadwork patching.

From a press release issued by the Ministry of Public Works and Transport (MOPT):

¢4,044 MILLION INVESTED IN RENOVATION OF HEAVY MACHINERY FOR MOPT

Wagons, trucks for patching, front loaders and low boys, are part of the machinery that the Ministry of Public Works and Transport (MOPT), is looking for in order to gradually replace obsolete equipment.

The is investment is of ¢ 4,044,784,900 million and will enable the institution to significantly reduce the high costs of maintenance and repair required by obsolete equipment.

Tender for Garbage Trucks for $22.8 million

The Urban Household Cleaning Authority of Panama has put out to tender the purchase of trucks for waste collection service.

According to the specifications the tender is for the supply and maintenance of compacting trucks, dump trucks, backhoes and scanning equipment to be used by the Urban Household Cleaning Authority for the collection of urban solid waste, both commercial and residential.
