The consumer price index showed a monthly variation of -0.42%, accumulating so far this year inflation of 1.58%.

In March 2017, of the 315 goods and services included in the consumer basket 47% rose in price, 39% fell in price and 14% showed no change.

In March the goods and services that suffered the greatest negative effect were tomatoes, onions and gasoline. Moreover, rental housing, liquefied gas and potatoes were among those with the greatest positive effect.

In March in the last five years, there were negative monthly percentage changes in 2016 (-0.91%) and 2017 (-0.42%).
