Of the 315 goods and services that make up the consumer basket, 52% increased in price, 39% decreased in price and 9% did not change. Click to interact with graphClick to interact with graph

In February, the goods and services that showed the greatest positive effect were: gasoline, primary education and secondary education. On the other hand, potatoes, onions and tourist packages were among the main items with the greatest negative effect.

In February of the last ten years, the highest inter-annual variation was seen in 2009 with 12.75%; while in 2016 the only negative year-on-year change was registered (-0.03%).

In January, the consumer price index registered a 0.41% increase, mainly explained by the prices of Food and non-alcoholic beverages, and Education.
