Costa Rica: $5 million for New Shopping Center

Grupo Zeta has opened a shopping center in San Jose which has 25 stores and a parking area for 80 cars.

This is the first shopping center by the chain Vivo Plaza and was built on a plot of 3,700 m², near the Instituto Costarricense de Electricidad (ICE) in San Pedro. 80% of the premises have already been occupied and measure from 50 m² to 250 m².

"The site in San Pedro is the debut branch of this new chain of convenience shopping centers Grupo Zeta. Three more malls are planned for 2014: Vivo Este (Curridabat) Vivo Tejar (Cartago) and Vivo Managua (Nicaragua) ", reported Elfinancierocr.com.

"Each of our spaces offers a retail mix which includes convenience supermarkets, all kinds of restaurants, shops, and medical, aesthetics and beauty areas," said Tammy Roitman, Project Manager at Global Servi, the marketer of the malls owned by Grupo Zeta.

"With the opening of Vivo Yoses, a new phase begins in the development of more Vivo Malls, both in Costa Rica and in other countries in the region," said Cesare Zingone Grupo Zeta's president.

Major Real Estate Projects Announced in Costa Rica

The stores identified are: Lagunilla, Torre 202, Plaza Carolina (stages 1 and 2), Plaza Tempo, Trivium Center, Plaza Lincoln, Paseo Plaza Santo Domingo and Metropolis, according to information provided by Danny Quiros, Market Intelligence Manager of Colliers International , a `real estate consulting firm.
