Costa Rica: $51 million in Residential Projects

Apartment buildings and horizontal condominiums account for most of the list of residential construction projects for which environmental impact studies were presented in September 2015.

The report entitled "Construction Projects in Guatemala - September 2015", prepared by the Business Intelligence unit at CentralAmericaData.com, provides a detailed list of major construction projects for which environmental impact assessments (EIA) were submitted to the National Environmental Technical Secretariat (SETENA) in September.

In the area of ​​residential developments, the company Villasol PVS SA submitted an EIS to build 382 condominium homes in San Rafael, Alajuela, each with an average area of ​​231 m2 and 4 and 5 storey buildings containing up to 60 apartments in total. The study indicates that an investment of $10 million will be required.

An EIA was also presented to develop the project "Condominio El Beneficio" to build 121 homes in Rincon de Sabanilla, San Pablo, Heredia, each with an average area of ​​129 m2. The study indicates that an investment of $6 million will be required.

Agrícola Industrial Centroamericana S.A. submitted an EIS to build 331 houses in Rio Azul, La Union, Cartago, each with two storeys and to sell the same number of lots. The document indicates that $6 million will be invested.

Sheldon Gold Fisher submitted an EIA to build a 7-storey building in Zapote, San Jose which will contain 39 apartments, parking for 41 vehicles and a total area of ​​8,000 m2. The study indicates that $6 million will be invested.

Proyecto Inmobiliario Galea S.A. submitted an EIS to build a condominium with 44 properties in Curridabat, San Jose, the homes will be spread over 3 floors, with a basement with 61 parking spaces. The document indicates that $6 million will be invested.

Gilded Iguana Holdings Limitada submitted an EIS to build in Nosara, Nicoya, Guanacaste, 3 buildings for housing, 1 for services and 1 to be used as a yoga studio. The construction area will be 6,911 m2 and an investment of $5 million is estimated.

Vista Sociedad de Fondos de Inversiones S.A. submitted an EIS to build in San Pedro Montes de Oca, San Jose, a public parking building. The study indicates that the investment amount is $4 million.

Empresas Artemisa Negra E.A.N S.A. submitted an EIS to build in Mata Redonda, San José, a residential building with 2 basements and 10 storeys, with 31 apartments. The document states that $3 million will be invested.

Metro Providente Asociados S.A. submitted an EIS to build in Pozos, Santa Ana, San Jose 28 residential units distributed in 3 buildings with a total construction area of ​​3,096 m2. The study indicates that $2 million will be invested.
