Costa Rica: $50 million for Production Plant

The Coca Cola company has announced that it will be building a production plant for raw materials in Liberia, which will replace the current one that operates in La Uruca, which will close in the short term.

The production plant will be built on an area of 103 thousand square meters in Liberia, Guanacaste, where earthmoving works have already started, as representatives of Coca Cola explained at a press conference.

Nacion.com reports that "...The proximity of the port of Caldera, which was facilitated by the extension of the Cañas - Liberia road and the projections for expanding the Cañas - Limonal and Limonal - Barranca stretch of road also influenced the selection of the site from where the Coca Cola formula will be produced."

"... The 18,500 square meter industrial warehouse requires 18 months of construction and will open on January 1, 2020."

In Costa Rica, the Coca-Cola company announced that it had completed the construction of its new raw material production plant in Liberia, and it has now begun operating in its first phase.

The plant will be located within the Zona Franca Solarium, in a plot of land measuring 103,000 m2The factory will produce 90 compounds that are used for beverages that are exported to Central America, the Caribbean, Chile, Mexico, Brazil and Argentina, the Costa Rican Coalition of Development Initiatives said in a statement.

The Guatemalan PreCon Group has opened its production plant at km 17.5 on the road to Leon.

Investment in new plant was $2 million, and the production area is 1,400 square meters.

An article in Trincheraonline.com reports that "The products that will be marketed in Nicaragua are building materials such as blocks, ‘Blocón’ system, paving stones, curb stones and slabs or beam with with LK moldsh."
