Costa Rica: $178 million Tender for Hospital

The Costa Rican Social Security Fund is putting out to tender the design, construction, equipment and maintenance of the new Víctor Sanabria Hospital, which will be located in the province of Puntarenas.

According to the contest published yesterday, companies will have April 23, 2018 as the deadline to submit their offers. According to the public procurement website, the reference value for the work is $178,306,096.

The hospital will have a total area of 70 thousand square meters, 64 offices, 12 operating theaters, 350 hospital beds, 43 emergency observation beds, and 4 delivery rooms. 

The Costa Rican Social Security Fund reported last October that the new hospital which will be located in Barranca will start operating in the year 2021.
