The high-tech company Microtechnologies has announced the construction of a new 9,500 square meter manufacturing plant in an industrial park in Coyol, Alajuela.

4D to build high tech manufacturing plant in Coyol

· The investment for the new plant amounts to $15 million

Desarrolladores Inmobiliarios 4D is leading the financing, design and construction of the manufacturing plant for the multinational high technology company Microtechnologies (MTI) .

Under the Free Zone regime, MTI's new plant will be located in Coyol of Alajuela, in an industrial park belonging to the real estate business unit FIFCO called "Condominio Centro Logístico RC" .

The Microtechnologies firm will be moving its operation in the country to a new 9,500 square meter plant which will be built in Coyol, province of Alajuela.

The new plant will be built by the manufacturer of medical devices operating under the free zone regime and will house all of the staff currently working at facilities which the company operates in another free zone.

Laica Invests $5 Million in Costa Rica

March 2009

The new investment was made in a new specialized facility for the production of liquid sugar located in Alajuela.

Ana Cristina Camacho wrote in the El Financiero website: "The new Laica facility joins the existing industrial complex in El Coyol, Alajuela, which has experienced rapid growth in real estate investment for industrial, manufacturing and commercial use in the last few years.
