The "Information system for the Covid-19 Impact Analysis on Business", prepared by the Trade Intelligence Unit of CentralAmericaData, measures the degree of impact that the crisis will have on companies according to their sector, during the coming months.

It is estimated that Wholesale trade is among the sectors that would suffer the least impact in the coming months. This could be explained by the drop in business with companies in the Industrial Sector and the Wholesale of Electrical Appliances.

Another sector that is in the group of those that will be impacted, but in lesser magnitude, is Services. Among the subsectors of this activity, Personal Care Services and Repair and Maintenance Services would be part of the most affected.

Among the sectors that will be severely impacted in Central America are hotels, transportation and entertainment.

According to the analysis, industry subsectors such as paper, cardboard, glass, ceramics and textiles will suffer a considerable impact on sales.

The information system can help you answer questions such as:

How and how much will my business be affected?
How much could the demand for my products and services fall in the medium term? Which sectors are most at risk of registering significant falls in their sales?
How many of my customers and suppliers could face problems?
