Copa traffic increases 15%

Between January and September 2008 the number of passengers that traveled grew 15.1% compared to the same period in the previous year.

According to prensa.com, "the airline moved 2.07 million passengers via the Tocumen airport, 273 thousand more than the previous year.

The airport statics report by Tocumen S.A. for the third quarter provides data for passengers that travel to Panama on all the airlines.

Copa Announces New Flight to Chicago

Copa Profits Down 66% in Second Quarter

In the second quarter of 2010, Copa Airlines recorded net income of $18.6 million, 66% less than in the same period of 2009 when it was $55.2 million.

The company's total revenue increased 9.3% to $303 million and its capacity was also up 5%. However, its performance per passenger mile fell 2.5% to $0.152, largely due to lower prices in Venezuela and Colombia.

Copa Airlines Traffic Up 16%

November 2009

In October, Copa Airlines carried 16.6% more passengers than the same month of 2008.

This month was also the lowest so far 2009 (81.9%).

"October was the second consecutive month with better results than 2008, confirming that the Panamanian Airline has recovered its strong growth rate, which was stopped by the economic crisis and the A(H1N1) flu", reported Prensa.com.
