Copa Announces New Destination to St. Martin Island

Copa Airlines has announced that from 18 December 2010 it will begin operating a direct route between Panama and the Caribbean island of St. Martin.

The new flight to St. Martin will depart Panama on Tuesdays and Saturdays at 12:22 pm and arrive at 4:17 pm. The return flight leaves the island on the same days at 5:30 pm, landing in Panama at 7:44 pm.

Passengers of Copa Airlines will now be able to connect immediately from and to the main Mexican, Central and South American cities for trips to St. Martin, without needing to pass through customs or immigration, by using Panama's travel hub for the Americas.

St. Martin is shared by Holland (Sint Maarten) and France (Saint Martin), has 37 of the world's best beaches and features colonial architecture, varied gastronomy and exciting night life. It is also a good base for trips to other Caribbean islands such as San Eustaquio, Antigua, Barbuda, Saint Kits, Nevis and the British Virgin Islands.

Direct Flight from Tampa to Panama City Inaugurated

Copa Airlines opened another gateway to the South of the U.S. on Tuesday with its first nonstop flight from Tampa to Tocumen airport.

"This flight represents the gateway to the Americas," said the mayor, Bob Buckhorn to Tampabay.com, having boarded the COPA plane with a delegation of businessmen from Tampa.

Copa Airlines Announces Four New Destinations

Copa Airlines will operate 4 new destinations starting from June. The destinations are: Recife, Brazil; Guanacaste, Costa Rica; Las Vegas, USA; and the island of Curacao.

A press release from Copa Airlines states that “Passengers departing from or transiting through the Hub of the Americas, the hub of Copa Airlines, Tocumen International Airport in Panama, via these new flights will have access to a network which consists of a total of 63 destinations in 29 countries throughout North, Central and South America and the Caribbean.

New Copa Destination: Monterrey, Mexico

Copa Airlines has announced a new nonstop flight between Monterrey and Panama, home to the Hub of the Americas.

With the opening of this new route to the capital of the Mexican state of Nuevo León, passengers from this city, for the first time, will be able to connect to multiple destinations in Latin America without having to make connections via the United States.

Copa begins flights to Bolivia and Aruba

December 2008

Since yesterday, Copa Airlines has two new destinations in the Americas, Santa Cruz in Bolivia and Oranjestad in Aruba.

Both flights are with a Embraer 190 aircraft.

The flight to Oranjestad leaves Panama on Mondays, Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays at 12:02 p.m., arriving in Aruba at 2:54 p.m., while the return flight is on Mondays, Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays at 4:50 p.m., arriving in Panama at 5:36 p.m.
