Copa Airlines Sees 13% Traffic Increase in March

The airline moved 13.5% more passengers when compared to the same period of 2009.

Copa reported that its passengers flew 663.8 million miles on March 2010, versus 584.7 million miles on March 2009.

“Copa operates 150 daily flights to 24 countries in North, Central and South America and the Caribbean while Aero República flies to 10 cities in Colombia”.

Copa Airlines Carries 20% More Passengers

Copa Holdings announced that effective today, the Colombian airline Aero will operate under the name Copa Airlines Colombia.

The new name will integrate destinations, routes and services currently offered by Copa Airlines and Aero Republica. Among the benefits it will have access to the Hub of the Americas in Panama, which connects over 45 destinations worldwide through more than 160 daily flights to North America, Central America, South America and the Caribbean.

Copa Airlines Traffic Up 16%

November 2009

In October, Copa Airlines carried 16.6% more passengers than the same month of 2008.

This month was also the lowest so far 2009 (81.9%).

"October was the second consecutive month with better results than 2008, confirming that the Panamanian Airline has recovered its strong growth rate, which was stopped by the economic crisis and the A(H1N1) flu", reported Prensa.com.
