Construction in Central America: Upcoming Works

University buildings in Panama, apartment towers in Nicaragua and mixed-use buildings in Guatemala are some of the projects planned for the coming months in the region.

The interactive system "Construction in Central America", compiled by the Business Intelligence Unit at CentralAmericaData, includes an up to date list of public and private construction projects that are planned to be built soon.

Details of some of the recently submitted Environmental Impact Studies:

Universidad Tecnológica de Panamá submitted an EIA to build, on the Víctor Levi Sasso Campus, located in the village of Ancón, district of Panama, buildings for laboratories and classrooms, and parking lots. The project is called "Construction of a building for research laboratories, a teaching laboratory, classrooms, parking and 300 meters of access street", and according to the document, approximately $29.8 million will be invested.

Desarrollos del Norte will be building, in Villa Fontana, Managua, Nicaragua, a residential complex consisting of 13 apartment buildings of six levels each. It is estimated that nearly $25 million will be invested in the execution of the project.

Jofraseli, S.A. submitted an EIA to build, in zone 9, of Guatemala City, two six story towers to be used for commercial premises and offices. According to the document, the plan is to build 5 basements for parking with capacity for 489 parking spaces, and it is estimated that the global investment will be around $19 million.

$61 million to be Invested in Real Estate Development

An environmental impact study has been submitted for the construction in San Miguelito, Panama, of a mixed complex consisting of six apartment towers and a tower for commercial use.

Data from the Interactive System "Construction in Central America", compiled by the Business Intelligence Unit at CentralAmericaData, indicates that in June Inmobiliaria Panamá Bella S.A. submitted an Environmental Impact Study (EIA) to the Ministry of the Environment.
