Construction companies pushing for reactivation

Construexpo 2010 is one of the measures undertaken by Salvadoran builders to reactivate construction in the country.

Its organizers, the Salvadoran Chamber of Construction, expect participants to close $6.5 million in deals in this edition of the fair.

“Over 150 companies will participate in the event. They will come from Guatemala, Honduras, Costa Rica, Panama, Mexico, Brazil and Canada. One surprise for this edition is the participation of 14 Argentinean companies”, reported Elsalvador.com.

Mario Rivera, president of the Chamber of Construction (CASALCO) noted that in this way the current waiting time could be reduced from almost two years to ninety days.

Casalco, the construction chamber, explained that the figure includes deals closed at the fair, and others to happen shortly or in the midterm.

159 companies took part in the trade show, out of which 42 were foreign corporations, reported Casalco.

125 companies will participate in the activity, to take place February 4th-7th at CIFCO, the International Center for Fairs and Conventions.

Mario Ernesto Rivera, head of Casalco, told Laprensagrafica.com: "The event generates 1.000 indirect jobs.

El Salvador will Host "Construexpo 2010"

The construction trade show, organized by the Construction Industry Chamber, CASALCO, will take place February 4 to 7, 2009.

CASALCO expects the participation of over 175 expositors and 23.000 visitors in a 15.000 square meters area.

Jorge Sansivirini, president of the organizing committee, told newspaper Laprensagrafica.com: "We will have areas for machinery, home ownership, environments, decoration, furniture, equipment rental as well as banks, who will offer credit for entrepreneurs and individuals looking for a home".
