Construction: Upcoming Works in Central America

A horizontal condominium in Panama, the restoration of a building in Costa Rica and an office tower in Guatemala are some of the projects planned for the coming months in the region.

The interactive system "Construction in Central America", compiled by the Business Intelligence Unit at CentralAmericaData, includes an up to date list of public and private construction projects that are planned to be built soon.

Details of some of the recently submitted Environmental Impact Studies:

Agroganadera Río Caimito submitted an EIA to build, in the district of La Chorrera, province of Western Panama, a residential urban project composed of 1,347 single-family homes. According to the document, the project is called "Puerto del Mar Stage I" and the foreseen investment amount is $57 million.

The Costa Rican Social Security Fund submitted an EIA to carry out structural reinforcement work, and reconditioning of all the electrical, mechanical and architectural systems in the Laureano Echandi Building, located in the capital of the country. The study details that the investment will be approximately $42.1 million.

Modern Constructions, Sociedad Anónima submitted an EIA to build in Zone 9 of Guatemala City, a 13 story building for offices and commercial premises, which will have seven basements with capacity to park 200 vehicles. According to the document, it is estimated that the global investment will be $10 million.
