Construction: Upcoming Projects in the Region

The construction of a school in Costa Rica, urbanization works in Panama and the development of a vertical residential complex in El Salvador are some of the projects planned for the coming months in the region.

The interactive system "Construction in Central America", compiled by the Trade Intelligence Unit at CentralAmericaData, includes an up to date list of public and private construction projects that are expected to be built in the coming months.

Details of some of the Environmental Impact Studies presented recently:

In Costa Rica, the Board of Education Monteverde School presented the study to build in Siquirres, Limon province, an educational center. According to the EIA of the project called "Construction of Monteverde School Pacuarito Siquirres", the campus will have academic classrooms, gymnasium, administrative area, parking lots, children's games, kitchen, student dining room and other amenities. The document states that it is expected to invest about $15.3 million.

Desarrollo Urbano La Pintada S.A. presented the EIA to urbanize a land that has an approximate area of 460 thousand square meters and is in the Cocle province, Panama, where it will develop a project that will have 500 homes, and public spaces such as school, shopping malls, public parks, cycle roads, sports fields and a police station. According to the project document called "Cerro La Pintada" $45 million is expected to be invested.

Inmuebles, S.A. de C.V. plans to build in Colonia Escalón, San Salvador, a residential complex consisting of a 15-story tower that will have 54 apartments. The project called "Condominio 105" will require an investment of about $10 million.

A 236 units residential complex in Cocle, apartment towers and a 428 units residential complex in Chiriqui, are some of the projects to be developed in Panama in the coming months.

Guatemala: Mixed Real Estate Development for $261 million

A residential complex is to be built in Santa Catarina Pinula which will consist of single-family homes and apartment towers, with a total area of ​​200 hectares.
