Construction: Upcoming Projects in the Region

The construction of an office building in Costa Rica, a drinking water supply system in Panama and a multi-purpose tower in Guatemala are part of the projects planned for the coming months in the region.

The interactive system "Construction in Central America", compiled by the Trade Intelligence Unit at CentralAmericaData, includes an up to date list of public and private construction projects that are expected to be built in the coming months.

Detail of some of the Environmental Impact Studies presented recently:

The Costa Rican Institute of Aqueducts and Sewers presented the EIA to build in San Jose a seven-story office building and three basements, which will be used for administrative facilities. According to the document, approximately $35 million will be invested in this project.

In Panama, the Institute of Aqueducts and Sewers plans to build a potable water supply system in Cocle. According to the EIA of the project called "Study, design and construction of the potable water supply system of the Anton Valley", about $8.3 million is expected to be invested.

Bienes Raíces Alquiventas, S.A. plans to build in Zone 10 of Guatemala City, an 18-level tower and 7 basements that will have commercial premises and office space. The project called "Construction of Luxury Tower Building, with Earth Moving" will require an investment of about $6.8 million.
