Construction: Upcoming Projects

A mixed-use tower in Costa Rica, a residential condo in Panama and a warehouse building in Guatemala are some of the projects planned for the coming months in the region.

The interactive system "Construction in Central America", compiled by the Business Intelligence Unit at CentralAmericaData, includes an up to date list of public and private construction projects that are planned to be built soon.

Details of some of the recently submitted Environmental Impact Studies:

In Costa Rica, Torre Sabana Este SJCR S.A. submitted an EIA to build, in the district of Merced, San Jose, a 24 story building for commercial and office use, which will have four basements for parking with space for 388 vehicles. According to the document, the investment in the development is expected to be $50 million.

In Panama, El Arado 8.5H, S.A. submitted an EIA to build, on a plot of 7.86 hectares in the district of La Chorrera, province of Panamá Oeste, a residential complex consisting of 216 single-family homes. According to the study, the project is called "Villas de El Arado" and a global investment of $22 million is foreseen. 

In Guatemala, Fincas y Construcciones, Sociedad Anónima submitted an EIA to build four buildings of five and six levels in area 16 of Guatemala City, for use as warehouses. The document explains that the infrastructure will have four levels of basements and the total investment planned for the project is $13 million.
