Construction Projects in Panama - April 2016

The report "Construction Projects in Panama - April 2016", prepared by the Business Intelligence unit at CentralAmericaData.com, provides an up to date list of major construction projects for which environmental impact assessment (EIA) studies were submitted to the Ministry of Environment in Panama in April.

Comilfon, S.Apresented an EIA to build 2,232 homes for people with minimum family income, using low-density construction methods, within a projected seven year time frame, in the village of Herrera, district of La Chorrera, province of Panama Oeste. According to the study, the project is to be called "El Prado" and the estimated budget is $16,432,000.

Llano Sánchez Solar Power Tres, S.A.  presented an EIA to develop a project on a 19.2 hectare industrial estate which will generate 9.99 MWp using photovoltaic multi-giunzione sottile film modules connected in strings of 14 modules each. The project is called "Generación Eléctrica Fotovoltaica 'Sol Real' en Llano Sánchez, distrito de Aguadulce" and will be located in the village of El Roble, district of Aguadulce, province of Cocle. $15,000,000 will be invested in the project.

Llano Sánchez Solar Power One, S.A. presented an EIA to develop, on a polygon of 20.6 hectares located in the village of El Roble, district of Aguadulce, province of Cocle, a project to generate 9.99 MWp using photovoltaic multi-giunzione sottile film modules connected in strings of 14 modules each. The project is called "Generación Eléctrica Fotovoltaica 'Milton Solar' en Llano Sánchez, distrito de Aguadulce" and involves an investment of $15,000,000.

PHOTOVOLTAICS INVESTMENTS, CORP. presented an EIA to build and operate a solar photovoltaic power plant with an installed capacity up to 10 MW, in an area of 20.14 hectares. The project called "ECO SOLAR" will be located in the village of Progreso, district of Baru, province of Chiriqui, $15,000,000 will be invested in the project.

An environmental impact study has been presented in Panama to develop a photovoltaic power plant in Pocrí, Cocle Province, with a total power of 16 MW.

In the Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) submitted to the Ministry of Environment in October 2015 by PANAMASOLAR2, SA, it is indicated that the development called "Pocri" will be located in the village of Pocrí district of Aguadulce, Cocle Province.
