The report "Construction Projects in Guatemala - September 2015", prepared by the Business Intelligence unit at CentralAmericaData.com, provides a detailed list of major construction projects that submitted environmental impact assessment studies (EIA) to the Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources (MARN) in September.

In the commercial sector an EIA was presented to build in zone 15 of the municipality of Guatemala, a 16 storey office building with capacity for 113 offices, including 3 basements and parking lots. The study indicates that the construction area will be 35,938 square meters and the project will require an investment of approximately $17 million.

In the area of ​​residential development, the company TIECAC SA presented an EIA to build a clubhouse in the residential complex El Pulte, located in zone 24 in the municipality of Guatemala. The project involves the construction of a 3 storey building, parking in the basement and at ground level, warehouses, pool and terraces. The document indicates that the estimated investment is $11.8 million.

In the area of ​​public infrastructure, an EIA was submitted to build a road bridge in the town of Cubulco, Baja Verapaz. The project is to build a bridge which is 250 meters long and 9 meters wide, with two lanes. The EIA indicates that the estimated cost of the project is $6 million.
