Construction Projects Planned in Costa Rica

Towers of apartments and a hotel in the province of Heredia, and an educational center in Cartago, are some of the works that are planned to be developed during the next months.

The interactive system "Construction in Central America", compiled by the Business Intelligence Unit at CentralAmericaData, includes an up to date list of public and private construction projects that are planned in the region.

Details of some of the Environmental Impact Studies submitted recently in Costa Rica:

Proyectos de Acceso Proa S.A. submitted an EIA to build, in Sarapiqui, province of Heredia, an eco-friendly hotel with 54 rooms. According to the study the project is called "Hotel el Lugar", and a global investment of $26 million is foreseen.

3-101-707553 S.R.L. submitted an EIA to build three apartment towers in Ulloa, province of Heredia. According to the document for this project, they will be investing $20 million and it will consist of the development of an 11 story tower that will contain 84 apartments, another of 13 stories that will house 100 apartments, and a last one of 9 stories that will have 68 apartments.

The Board of Education of Escuela Fray Jose Antonio de Liendo y Goicochea submited an EIA to build, in the canton of Paraíso, province of Cartago, two school buildings on two levels each and other complementary infrastructures for the educational center. According to the document, the project is called "Fray Jose Antonio de Liendo y Goicochea School" and a total of $5 million will be invested.

Costa Rica: 42-story Building for $62 million

January 2017

Plans are underway to build in Sabana Norte, San Jose, a 42 story building with 300 apartments and space for offices and commercial premises.

Desarrollo Inmobiliario H Solis submitted an Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) to the National Environmental Technical Secretariat (SETENA) on October 28 for the construction of a mixed-use tower.
