Construction: Next Investments in Central America

An apartment building in Guatemala, an educational center in Panama and a tourist complex in Costa Rica, are part of the projects that are planned to be developed in the coming months in the region.

The interactive system "Construction in Central America", compiled by the Business Intelligence Unit at CentralAmericaData, includes an up to date list of public and private construction projects that are planned to be built soon.

Detail of some of the Environmental Impact Studies presented recently:

Industria de Materiales de Construcción, S.A. plans to build in Zone 17 of Guatemala City, a vertical residential complex consisting of four 22-story buildings and six basements each. The project called "Parque Portales" will house 672 apartments and, according to the study, is expected to invest close to $17 million.

Liceo Francés Paul Gauguin presented in Panama the EIA to build an educational center consisting of three buildings of three levels each, which will be connected to each other. The document details that the school will be in the town of Veracruz, district of Arraijan, and will invest about $12.5 million.

In Costa Rica, The South Jungle Spirit SRL plans to build in Bahia Ballena, province of Puntarenas, a tourist complex that will offer bungalows, individual bedrooms, swimming pool, yoga area, communal house and other amenities. According to the EIA of the project called "El Eden Retirement Center", it is expected to invest about $3 million.

Plans are being drawn up to build a high rise residential condominium with 75 apartments on 10 stories in Escazu, San Jose.
