Construction: New Investments in the Region

Water and sanitation works in Panama, improvements to a seaport and improvements to a bridge are part of the investments planned for the coming months in the region.

The interactive system "Construction in Central America", compiled by the Business Intelligence Unit at CentralAmericaData, includes an up to date list of public and private construction projects that are planned to be built in the coming months.

Detail of some of the Environmental Impact Studies presented recently:

In Panama, the National Council for Sustainable Development presented the EIA to develop in Pacora, the works for the installation of 18.6 kilometers of pipes of 42, 30, 24 and 8 inches in diameter, the construction of storage tanks and other complementary works. The document details that the institution plans to invest close to $149 million.

In Guatemala, Empresa Portuaria Quetzal plans to carry out infrastructure improvement works on the maritime terminal under its charge, which consist of works on the east and west breakwater structures. The study specifies that the investment of the project is $53 million.

The Costa Rican Institute of Aqueducts and Sewers presented the EIA to make improvements to the bridge over the Agua Caliente River - Orosi Aqueduct. The document explains that the investment could reach $36 million.

Port Projects Planned in Central America
