In the first ten months of the year, the price of 3/8" diameter iron rod, corrugated and legitimate, fell 9% in Guatemala, and that of structural galvanized steel sheet, die-cut, 26 gauge, fell 5%.

The Construction Materials Price Index -IPMC-, elaborated by the National Statistics Institute (INE), measures the variations of the prices of the eighty-nine (89) materials and services that integrate the representative basket of inputs that are used in the construction activity, using as base month December 2018=100.

INE figures show that the 6m long cold rolled angle registered a 3% monthly variation during October, and the 22 caliber losacero type sheet increased by 1%.

In the case of plastic flexitube of 1'' corrugated diameter, reported a negative monthly variation, which for the month in question was 2% and wood for rustic pine formwork, its variation was 1.2%.

In the first month of the year, the price of 16-gauge steel wire increased 4% compared to December 2018, and in the case of 22-gauge losacero steel sheet, the increase was 5%.
