Construction: International Business Roundtable

Organizations are being made in Panama City for a business conference to take place on September 10 for local and international companies in the construction sector.

The Panamanian Chamber of Construction (CAPAC) will be holding this event in the context of the CAPAC Expo Habitat with the purpose of "... providing a platform for international and domestic entrepreneurs to share, meet and conduct business on behalf of companies and the country. "

The chairman of the Committee on Trade of CAPAC, Alejandro Ferrer told Laestrella.com.pa that "... The CAPAC Business Roundtable is the event that every construction investor should take advantage of for networking, both in the private and public sectors. In 2014 more than 150 meetings were held and deals were struck worth in the order of $20 million. This year the presence of more than 90 businessmen is expected on September 10."

$18 million in Deals at El Salvador - Venezuela Business Conference

The meeting between 168 companies from both countries struck deals worth $10 million in the construction, home, industrial supplies and health and wellness sectors.

From a statement issued by the Ministry of Economy and Commerce in El Salvador:

More than $18 million was traded in the over 200 appointments held during the first conference entitled "El Salvador, Venezuela, strengthening trade ties in the region." This event was coordinated by the Government of El Salvador through PROESA and the Ministry of Economy, and the Government of Venezuela through the Venezuela Export Programme, at the Bank for Foreign Trade (Bancoex). Entrepreneurs and Venezuelan officials highlighted during these three days El Salvador's potential in the commercial area and its strategic geographic location.
