Sewer Construction for $60 million

The Ministry of Health in Panama is putting out to tender the design and construction of a sewerage network in the town of Burunga, province of Panamá Oeste.

Panama Government Purchase 2018-0-12-0-15-LP-023656:

"The site of execution of the works is located in the town de Burunga, in the District of Arraiján. The District of Arraiján is located in the center-west zone of the Province of Panamá Oeste, in the Republic of Panama.

It is the largest district in the western Panama region and has a population of 228,855 inhabitants (2012), which makes it the third most populated area of Panama, second only to the districts of Panama and San Miguelito. It is part of the metropolitan area of the city of Panama, as it serves as a dormitory city for the capital.

The sewage collection system of the Burunga Centro sector will be composed of Intradomiciliary Installations, Domiciliary Connections, Long Connections, Sewerage Networks, Sub-Collectors and Collectors, Protection of Slopes and Margins of Rivers, Storm Drainage Works and Secondary Drainage Works, which will collect sewage from residential connections and will take them to the Trunk System for further treatment at the PTAR of Arraiján Este."

$60 Million in Sewer Construction Awarded

Técnicas de Desalinización de Aguas S.A. and BTD Proyectos 12 S.A. were awarded the contract for the design and construction of the sewerage network in the village of Burunga, in the province of West Panama.

On May 13, the resolution of the contracting process for the works to be executed in Burunga and the district of Arraijan was published in the portal PanamaCompra.

Panama: Another $125 million for Sanitation Works

The Development Bank of Latin America has confirmed another loan to finance the design and construction of the wastewater system in Arraiján and La Chorrera, in West Panama.

The funds will be executed by the Ministry of Health (MINSA) through the Coordination Unit of the Panama Sanitation Program (UCP). This is the seventh approval of a credit operation of the CAF to support the execution of the Panama Sanitation Program, which with this new disbursement reaches a total financing amount of USD 628 million. The resources of this operation will be used for the design and construction of networks and sewage collectors, as well as domiciliary and intra-domiciliary connections that allow houses to be incorporated into the sanitation system.

Panama: Tender for $200 million Water Treatment Plant

September 2015

Specifications are being drawn up for the launch of a tender in December for a water treatment plant for $150 million in La Chorrera, and another for $50 million for the area of ​​Arraijan, Veracruz and Howard.

The construction of the water treatment plants is part of a comprehensive plan to clean up Panama West, comprising of several stages and various works in the districts of the province.

The Ministry of Health in Panama is putting out to tender the design and construction of sewage collectors at the mouth of Rio Juan Diaz and complementary works in the Sanitation Project of the City and Bay of Panama.

The objective of this project is to collect and transport wastewater currently being discharged untreated into rivers in the areas of Juan Diaz and Rio Abajo (part) and to consolidate this part of the system by designing and building a set of works, which have been divided into the following components:
