Construction: Business Roundtable with Colombia

On August 12nd and 13rd the Sixth Business Roundtable on Construction Materials between South and Central America will take place in Panama City.

Colombian companies will be showcasing at the Megapolis Convention Center in Panama City their offers of "... construction materials, furniture and wood, metal, tools and appliances to local and international buyers."

Laestrella.com.pa reports that "... Maria Claudia Lacouture, president of ProColombia, organizer of the business conference, spoke about what the event offers for buyers. "Colombia is already one of the leading suppliers of building materials for Central America, capable of supplying 99% of the products that are required in any civil work. '"

Colombia is one of the leading suppliers of construction materials in the region, especially in sectors such as manufacturing, iron and steel, electrical appliances, ceramics, clay and stone, extracts, dyes, paints, aluminum and tools. In 2014, it exported to Panama $86 million in building materials. "

ExpoPerú Central America Generates Business Worth $18 million

Business deals worth for $7.6 million in Costa Rica and $10 million in Panama were made in the context of business meetings conducted in both countries.

From a press release issued by the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Tourism of Peru:

The Minister of Foreign Trade and Tourism, Magali Silva Velarde-Alvarez, reported today that the ExpoPerú Central America, held in Costa Rica and Panama between 13th and 16th August, had sales worth nearly $18 million.

LAC Flavors Business Roundtable

El Salvador Aims at $30 Million in Deals at World Fairs

Some 145 Salvadoran companies will participate this year in international fairs, particularly those related to the food and beverage sector.

Some 145 firms, mostly medium and small sized, will participate in trade fairs in Germany, Colombia, Taiwan and Panama, among other countries, and it is expected that deals will be made worth around $30 million.

Central America gears up for Canton Fair, Asia's top trade event

Business leaders from all over Central America are preparing to take part in the Canton Fair, Asia's leading trade event.

Some 70 to 80 Central American companies are expected to visit the fair, which begins mid-October, according to María Vargas, of the Costa Rica Chamber of Foreign Trade (Crecex). The sectors to be represented include construction, furniture, textiles, medical equipment, pharmaceuticals and electronics.
