Project: MODERNIZATION PROJECT FOR SOLID BULK CARGO TERMINAL AT PUERTO CORTES.

Title: CONTRACT FOR OPERATION OF SOLID BULK TERMINAL

Deadline for receipt of documents: October 2, 2012
The National Port Authority in its capacity as Settlor and the Trustee COALIANZA, in its capacity as Settlor and Banco Atlántida in its capacity as Trustee, signed on 15 May of 2012 a Trust Agreement of Directors for a period of 30 years for structuring, project Development and Promotion of the bulk terminal of Puerto Cortes.

This Management Trust Agreement was approved in every one of its parts by the Sovereign National Congress of the Republic by Decree 82-2012 which was published in the Official Gazette on August 31, 2012.

The objectives and purposes of the Trust is to establish the structure, based on the studies, of a international public tender for the award of equipment, operation and maintenance of the Project to the best represented Private Investor-Operator, who will assume responsibility for the operation related to loading and unloading of merchandise at Puerto Cortes’ bulk terminal.

According to Carlos Pineda, Coalianza's commissioner, they are still defining the type of process to be used in the new tender. "They have to change some conditions of the competition, but the project itself has not changed, it is the same and its basic structure is the same.

The Commission for the Promotion of Public-Private Partnerships in Honduras has created a tender for a Construction Contract for the Solid Bulk Terminal of Puerto Cortes.

The National Port Authority in its capacity as Settlor and Trustee, COALIANZA, in its capacity as Settlor and Banco Atlántida in its capacity as Trustee, have signed an indenture for the Structuring, Development and Promotion of the project for a Bulk Terminal in Puerto Cortés. This Management Trust Agreement was approved in every one of its parts by the Sovereign National Congress of the Republic by Decree 82-2012 which was published in the official newspaper La Gaceta on August 31, 2012.

Bidding Rules for Bulk Cargo Terminal

The National Port Authority of Honduras (ENP) has published the bidding rules to select a private operator for the bulk cargo terminal at Port Cortés.
