Complaints Over $70 million University Tender

In the tender to build the Faculty of Medicine in Panama, two of the three participating companies claim that the proposal by Astaldi-Cocige consortium, which obtained the best score, does not comply with the tender conditions.

Friday, October 13, 2017

In addition to Astaldi - Cocige, other companies taking part in the tender launched by the Ministry of Health to build a new site for the Faculty of Medicine together with the City of Health, in Ancón, are, Constructora San José and the IBT Consortium, with offers of $70 million and $72 million, respectively.

Of the three, Astaldi-Cocige was the one that obtained the best rating from the commission evaluating the proposals.

In their claims both consortia indicate that in addition to breaching several points in the tender documents, Astaldi-Cocige presented the highest economic offer.
