Companies Prequalified for State Administrative Center Rejected

The list of six pre-qualified companies in the tender for the construction, estimated at $200 million, was rejected and a new tender could be convened.

Monday, August 3, 2015

Arguing "... incongruity between those listed in the resolution as having qualified after expressions of interest were submitted from six companies," the National Council of Alliances for Economic Infrastructure Development (Conadie) failed the assessment and rejected the resolution of the Evaluating Commission which declared the six companies to be prequalified.

The prequalified firms are Brazil's Odebrecht, the Spanish group Ortiz Construcción y Proyectos Guatemala, Spain's Instalaciones Inabensa, Consorcio CAE Guatemala, Constructora Gia y Edificadora and SBI International Holdings.

Elperiodico.com.gt reports that "...The director of the National Agency for Partnerships for Economic Infrastructure Development, in his capacity as secretary of the Conadie, Julio Héctor Estrada, must submit within a period not exceeding 15 days the case to the Commission so that, based on the Conadie's observation, they can proceed to review it.
