Colombian company opens "hypercenter" in Panama

Corona S.A. marked the start of their expansion campaign in Central America with the opening of a hypercenter in Panama.

The store in Panama, at one thousand square meters, was built in conjunction with the Doit Center chain. "The alliance with Doit Center seeks to guarantee the success of the operation, as they are a well known and developed group in Central America," according to Sergio Cardenas, Manager of Corona stores.

The Ecuadorian company Importadora Industrial Agrícola is negotiating the purchase of Cardoze & Lindo, Panama's leading provider of heavy equipment to the construction sector.

The general manager of Cardoze & Lindo, Jorge Cardozo, told that negotiations for the sale of shares by the distributor of the Caterpillar brand in Panama, could be finalized by the end of September.
