Cluster Congress in Panama

From November 21st to 23rd, a regional event will be held in the country's capital to discuss issues related to competitiveness, innovation, territorial development and cluster management.

The 11th Latin American Congress of Clusters (CLAC) of the TCI Network will be held at the end of this month, on the topic "Leadership for innovation and competitiveness in Latin America: territorial development strategies based on Clusters."

The congress to be held in Ciudad del Saber, seeks to bring together national and international experts to exchange experiences, results and methodologies on issues of competitiveness, innovation and cluster management for strengthening productive capacities and territorial development.

Central American Poultry Congress

Costa Rica Hopes to Grow Medical Tourism

Competing with giants like Mexico and Brazil, Costa Rica managed to attract 40,000 health tourists in 2010 and hopes to attract more with a variety of value added medical tourism offers.

Emphasizing treatments for Parkinsons, drug addiction, alcoholism and stress, including holistic therapies, Costa Rica is aiming to maximise opportunities in medical tourism, which attracted some 40,000 visitors in 2010, according to the Council for International Promotion of Medicine in Costa Rica (Promed).
