The "System for monitoring markets and economic situation in Central American countries", developed by CentralAmericaData, forecasts the variations that in this new commercial reality will suffer the demand of households for different goods and services, through a model of sensitivity of demand-income.

This analysis assumes that the measures restricting mobility in the country will last four months.

The interactive report details that in these new market conditions, it is estimated that in the coming months the demand for clothing will decrease by 4% when compared to the levels registered in the first two months of 2020.

In the cases of the markets for men's tennis and women's sandals, it is expected that in the new commercial reality sales will fall 3% and 2%, respectively.

The market monitoring system states that sales of men's shirts are expected to contract by 4% and in the case of demand for women's trousers they will also contract by 4%.
