Marcos Pierson, president of the Chamber of Industries of Nicaragua (Cadin), told Laprensa.com.ni that "...'when this company closes operations, we have to look for suppliers abroad, that is the immediate solution, getting suppliers from El Salvador, Costa Rica, will probably mean a rise in costs, the problem is that for the national industry it is key to be able to market the products, then all of us who are in the business of selling in Nicaragua and even to export, depend on Astro Packing Solution to have a competitive price'."

Pierson added that "... 'right now there is not only a shortage of cardboard, there is also a shortage of plastic, groceries, transportation has become more expensive, so there are many logistical problems and we need the cooperation of the government to reduce customs procedures'."
