Cleaning articles and services are some of the issues that have gained ground in the digital environment in this context of health crisis, which derives from the outbreak of covid-19 in the region.

According to studies by CentralAmericaData, currently in Central America nearly 5 million people are looking to purchase home services via online, and 8% of these consumers, explore options to hire residential cleaning services.

With the rise of interest in this type of systems and services, companies in the sector are focused on offering new solutions for their clients.

Alvaro Barboza, founder and president of Micro Cleaning, told that the use of ultraviolet light in disinfection services is "... an innovative solution of low cost and also ecological, to combat viruses, bacteria, fungi and other pathogens harmful to health."

"Ozone solutions (Be Clean and evaporative cooling or pressure spraying (iGC Solutions), as well as cleaning and disinfection services (Red Team General Services), among others, are also available on the market," the publication highlights.

Data from the Trade Intelligence Unit of CentralAmericaData, specify that at the end of the first half of 2020, of the total number of Costa Rican consumers who are looking to hire a service for their homes via online, 25% are trying to acquire a pest control service.
