Guatemala: Main Buyer
During the third quarter of 2021, the main buyer of soaps and cleaning products in Central America was Guatemala with $47 million, followed by El Salvador with $40 million, Nicaragua with $22 million, Costa Rica with $11 million, Panama with $6 million and Honduras with $5 million.

Business Performance in Central America
Between the third quarter of 2020 and 2021, the value of imports in the region increased from $88 million to $128 million.

Main Suppliers
In the third quarter of 2021, 62% of the value imported from Central America came from Honduras, 21% from Guatemala, 5% from the United States of America, 3% from Mexico and 1% from Costa Rica.

For the period in question over the last ten years, the values imported from virtually all source markets have remained static, with most retaining the same proportions in total sales to the region.
