Cinépolis Invests $5 Million in Guatemala

The international chain has opened a new 10-screen cinema in the Portales mall.

Miguel Mier, chief operating officer at Cinépolis, said the complex has capacity for 1757 people, and includes a screen with XE Macro technology, which cost $850,000.

"We trust our partner, property developer Spectrum, to continue our expansion in Guatemala," said Mier.

The executive told s21.com that: "We plan to continue to offer the latest developments such as VIP lounges, and to open facilities in new areas, not only in the capital but in other regions as well."
