Cima to build new hospital in Costa Rica

The Cima Hospital is building a new medical center in Guanacaste which it expects to be ready at the start of 2011.

The hospital will be located at the entrance of the Pacific Plaza, a commercial and health complex which will include homes where medical tourists (those who are operated on or receive treatment at Cima) can stay.

Due to its proximity to the Liberia airport and the beaches, Carole Veloso, general director of Cima, said that they expect to attract mostly foreign tourists and some local clients.

It is estimated that construction of the new facilities will take three years, meaning that the current hospital will remain operational.

The new hospital will be built on the site of the former headquarters of the U.S. embassy, and will be joined to the old hospital, being very close together.

Nicaragua Builds Hospital in Estelí

The new regional Hospital of Estelí will include an emergency room, consultation and hospitalization.

Doctor Ignacio Rosales, director of the Health Clinic of Estelí, explained they expect the first phase of the hospital to be ready in three months. This comprises 30 doctor offices and a pharmacy.

Private Hospitals in Guanacaste

Despite the economic crisis, they are going ahead with the decision to build 3 hospitals in the province of Guanacaste.

Cima Hospital plans to start building its Guanacaste headquarters in early 2010 and finish it in the second quarter of 2011. Documentation has already been submitted to SETENA for this project.

$62 Million Hospital to be Built in Guatemala

February 2009

The Guatemalan Institute of Social Security will build a new hospital in Quetzaltenango in November. publishes: "Alone, the plans had a cost of $1 million USD, detailed the congressperson [Armando Paniagua], who added that, for the construction, Q350 millions ($43 million) are designated and the remainder is for equipment."
